Graphics Drivers in General soon to advance!

Well, it was only a matter of time until a graphics chipset maker broke the silence and released open-source driver code for their chipsets. Intel appears to be the leader of the pack.

With this news, and considering AMD was already preparing to release ATI’s drivers (You do know that ATI was purchased by AMD right!??), I would venture a guess that AMD will do so quickly in order to not give Intel the advantage for long at all. This all leaves NVidia behind, but NVidia is the company that has been the closest to a open source driver the entire time! I would guess they too will make a move when AMD does. What does this mean for the end user? Leaps and bounds will soon advance in the drivers and technology behind them in my opinion…
