Google Maps

So, for those of you who don’t know, google has a AWESOME mapping program/API that allows all kinds of nifty features and abilties. Besides being able to use their system for your own purposes for free simply by registering, you also can download standalone versions of their tools to use on your mobile phone. Goto:

www.google.com/gmm

It now offers versions for Garnet OS (Palm) and Windows Mobile in addition to the java based applet versions for normal phones. Give it a try! Furthermore, it works with GPS’s to allow you to track yourself or get directions, not a bad deal if you are too broke after buying that pricey smartphone to afford a copy of Tom Tom or iGuidance!

Hm, does it work with all GPS units (i.e. Bluetooth, etc), or just the Helio Drift?

That would be pretty rad if it worked with both 🙂

Correct me if I am wrong, but the current Palm version does not seem to support GPS yet.
