Ok, I bought parts to make 6 more, and can make up to 20 total if I go find more parts... (before having to place another order).

So, I'll have them available soon... I'll post sometime tomorrow I think and email the people that I have received requests from...

What kind of Cables

Post by kccasey » Fri Feb 04, 2005 5:14 pm

Hey I wanted to know what kind of Cables these are. I mean, I do know that these are for the Treo 650, but are they just basically the Sync Cable, or are these the data cables as well? DAta Cable meaning that I can use Vision Through it as well? The original Sync Cables only allow you to Sync and thats it. I want the ability to do Vision as well through a cable but don't know where to find one. I have Blue tooth and stuff, But I guess I like the idea of hooking my phone up to the computer and it charging and giving me an internet connection at the sametime is nice. Thanx!

Well, folks, you can now order a adaptor direct from PalmOne to get the serial cable from the 600 to work on the 650. Here's the link:

http://web.palmone.com/products/Product ... &cat=20018

As such, I'm not really going to be making more cables. I still have a few to sell then I'll be done with them. I'll post when I have them ready to go.

See they have the adapter for $29.99 , Shadowmite, what is the price of yours with basic shipping costs, to OK. ALSO, is this type of cable what I will need to eventually convert my Cingular Treo 650 GSM to a regular Treo 650 GSM when a "solution is available". I would like to be able to update my firmware, software, everything when possible. So considering my last statement, will it take the cable for this, or what? Just trying to see what I might need it for being a Cingular Treo 650 owner. Much Thanks in advance!!! L8R
Palm III -> Handera 330 -> Sony Clie SJ22 -> Tungsten E -> and finally Treo 650 GSM
