700p nvm files

Post by nitrobmw » Sat Apr 28, 2007 6:15 pm

I am trying to edit the nvm files in my 700p with bitpim. I cant overwrite certain files, I am given an error that the provider has locked these files. is there any to circumvent this? I have my sprint 700p programed to work with cricket and I am trying to edit the files that have to do with mms configuration. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can help. However I need your help. I Bricked my phone doing the same thing, trying to get MMS on Cricket, now I can't even get Pasthru to work.

If you can, download and install this on your Treo.

Run the backup, and SAVE IT! You will need it once I tell you how you can edit your files.

Then send me a copy. toddwhaley@mail2web.com

I have a link to the stuff you need to get past the editing of files.

The problem with my backup is Telus has disabled bitpim/serial cable passthrough function (I don't know exactly how yet), maybe in the modem firmware? or in some part of NVRAM where CDMAUpdater can't backup?? (but I have successfully done a nverase then restore the CDMA+NV_Backup.pdb and got the phone/PPP/CHAP MD5 data working again with a new esn, but I haven't figure out the AAA key A-KEY auth on EVDO stuff yet)

I try AT$QCDMG but its always error even with serial cable from a T5 I made with a ft232/pl2303 converter.

So even if I send my files to you. it would not help.
