== The SD Card Wifi Hack ==

So far the main thing done to enable the T5 Wifi driver to install properly on the 650 was to change the vendor ID it checks for to the 650. That's it, of course that change needed to be made about 8 times in different places in the various files. As for how to go further with it:

The main belief now is that the net library built into the phone conflicts with the one that came with the driver. No one has ever written one to work for cdma/gsm, serial, usb, bluetooth, and wifi all at once. So the objective a few of us decided on was to create a method of hot-swapping the net library with the fake net library included with the driver. In thoery this would allow the phone to function perfectly in WIFI and cellular net modes.

This also only worked with the PalmOne SD wifi card.

No Progress has been made in this attempt since no one with enough programming skill has come forward to try implementing this yet. :(


In the forum there are some new ideas about the wifi hack. By pulling all Bluetooth apps out of ROM the continuous reboot loop goes away.  However, the wifi card still can't seem to connect. Shadowmite please help. The problem seems like it could be simple for someone with experience hacking this driver.
